CHSA Soft Tissue Standard

CHSA is the Cleaning and Hygiene Standards Association and one of its fundamental aims is to raise standards in the cleaning industry.  Over the course of the last few years the soft tissue market practice of supplying unmarked packs of products (for the purpose of competing with brands in a very price competitive environment) has unfortunately allowed some suppliers to pass their products off as being more than they really are, for example, bulking up shorter length product to look the same as standard length products.

CHSA has taken the initiative to rid the marketplace of these products, and consequently this bad practice, with the introduction of the Manufacturing Standard Accreditation Scheme. 

As founding member of the soft tissue scheme, esp are proud to ensure all products are fully labelled with accurate length, widths and sheet counts as appropriate.  We guarantee that the product will meet the specifications on the label. 

The Scheme is monitored by an Independent Inspector who makes visits to participating manufacturers to ensure compliance with the Scheme’s standards.

To identify companies that comply to the Scheme, keep an eye out for the approved Accreditation logo; it will look like the one on the right of the page.  This gives you peace of mind that you are buying quality standards assured products from a reputable supplier.
